WebP is currently one of the most common photo formats on the web. Developed by Google, WebP delivers reduced image sizes than JPEG and PNG maintaining equal image fidelity. Despite this, WebP is still not fully accepted on all software. Many traditional applications, email clients and social media platforms still require the classic JPG format.
